House Tour

Welcome

Function first: throw your coat in our entry PIANO ROOM

The entry room now has a fooseball table in it... we moved this table to the three BOYS ROOM

Our fourth boy has his crib in the room below which can also accommodate guests in the

NURSERY

(and to accommodate when mama wants to fall asleep nursing)

It's easy to have three sons share a bedroom because we are fortunate to have a big sunny PLAY ROOM where they can keep their mess:

Even with all that space, this is where we also spread out legos, in the DINING ROOM

And all flop on the sectional in the FAMILY ROOM

Our Exchange Students have this bedroom:

And our living space in the FIREPLACE ROOM

Notice the fruits of the spirit written over our "go ask God to help your heart attitude get an adjustment" chair :) The chalkboard wall has many functions.

And the KITCHEN

Here is the MASTER BEDROOM

And finally the OUTDOOR SPACE

A few days after we moved in, Sylvain took me outside and showed me this charming little path behind the firepit. I was in awe - a few steps out of the backyard and I'm surrounded by a feeling of solitude in the woodland. It's a magical path and I felt flooded with gratefulness for this added wonder.

I've added some garden boxes

The backyard is ideal for photography

And still a pretty view in the wintertime

My sweet mama made a teepee with me for my boys

And I have a magnolia tree right outside by bedroom windows/balcony

I love my home. It's been a privilege and pleasure to create some beauty here, but most importantly is the family that fills it - and believe me, real life doesn't look like this. It's usually full of muddy shoes and books and papers (goodness - my kids love to draw and cut out their creations and there are paper scraps and funny guys everywhere.) Life is about balance. Enjoying simple and sweet while embracing the divinely allotted interruptions and chaos. Your journey is a special one too, & thanks for scrolling through mine.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this with me, it was such an inspiration, even more so inspirational knowing it is from the heart of a sister in Christ.
